Lillooet My Love Day 25 Part 2

OK. Here's the deal. We saw everything between here and the Arctic Ocean and some of it was pretty thrilling. It is one gigantic, stunning and rugged land out here in Beautiful British Columbia, the Yukon and NW Territories.

But…

In the end, my heart still belongs to Lillooet. Maybe it is the ruggedness of the canyon and the Fraser River busting itself to get through the narrow channels. Maybe it is the ring of rugged mountains surrounding the town. Maybe the hidden 4-wheel drive track that entices you to follow as it curves north out of town. Or maybe it's just the homey cafe that makes those fantastically yummy breakfasts. I really don't know. But when we got back here it was with a sigh of relief. When we saw our new choice of campground we were delighted. With the campsite itself we couldn't ask for better: lots of green space, location next to town, spacious sites with picnic tables, cottonwood trees for shade, excellent wifi and power hookups.  And best of all, only one day from home (which includes 2 ferry rides) and the ability to come often and indulge ourselves in the wild wild west of British Columbia.

This campground is a Regional District of Lillooet Campground, open from May to October only, and offering a very very well managed and convenient location.

Panorama of the camp ground. That's our rig on the right under the cottonwood tree.

Yup. That's us on the right.

Even Flossie gave it her best rating, especially after a good roll on the grass.

This is it folks. Tomorrow is home again. I hope you enjoyed tagging along with Barbara Rick and Flossie the Wonder Dawg as we explored the hidden secrets of Canada's farthest north. Loved having you along.

xxx to all
